CANFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) -- As family members and friends gathered for the annual Mahoning County Agricultural Society Hall of Fame ceremony, relatives of inductees Charles and Edward Barth say the family legacy began generations ago.

"Actually, the farm was owned by their parents, and they took it over in '35 or '32. Somewhere in there," said Ken Barth, son of Edward Barth.

The brothers started raising turkeys on their farm in Poland Township. Their name was quickly known around the region and nationally.

"When they find out who we are, you know, what my last name is, they say, 'oh, you're with the turkey farms,'" said Kraig Barth, grandson of Charles Barth.
