SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — A final call has been issued by the 17th Training Wing at the Goodfellow Air Force Base for the 2025-2026 Honorary Commander Program.

The year-long program is open to local members of the San Angelo community who are interested in understanding the GAFB traditions, values and training. The program provides the opportunity to participate in immersion events, training demonstrations and military ceremonies.

Veribest school counselor Kelli Hanna joined the Honorary Commander Program last year. Hanna explained that the program has given her a new perspective on the military base.
