MADISON (WKOW) -- People who live near the Minocqua Brewing Company's location on Madison's east side are publicly displaying their frustrations with music at the business.

Kirk Bangstad moved his brewery from Minocqua to Madison in 2023, building a taproom with a beer garden that backs up to residential homes.

Right at the fence separating the business from its neighbor, tensions are brewing.

"You can't live in the heart of an urban city and get peace and quiet all the time," Bangstad said in response to complaints he's received.

The owner of the home directly next door to the business, who declined an interview with 27 News, feels the music has been too loud, putting up a sign on the fence reading 'Still no amp sound permit please don't do this.'
