TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - Catholic schools across the Diocese of Tucson are considering changes to enhance student safety following a recent tragedy.

Some Catholic school principals are already exploring additional measures to protect students. At least one school is relocating its mass from the church to the school.

Pastors and Catholic school principals attended a presentation on school safety, focusing on potential changes both inside the buildings and in staff and teacher response. Security has been a priority for Catholic schools in the Diocese for a long time, involving both visible measures like locked doors and windows and less visible strategies.
