Mesa woman celebrates 107th birthday

MESA, AZ (AZFamily) — A woman in the East Valley started Sunday morning with a celebration of her 107th birthday!

The Summit at Sunland Springs assisted living home in Mesa hosted the party for resident Vivian Bickford.

Staff says at her age, Bickford is still a firecracker with a great sense of humor, and that was clear when Good Morning Arizona’s Gibby Parra stopped by on Sunday. Bickford wanted to dance and show off her moves to the camera.

Bickford says her best memories were from the 70 years she spent with her husband, Cliff.

“He was wonderful,” she said. “We danced, we skied. We skied all over the United States.”

Friends, family and even representatives from Mesa Police and Fire joined in on the birthday fun.

Bickford said she feels terrific at 107 years young.

“I’m healthy;
