KILLEEN, Texas — The City of Killeen announced Wednesday city offices will be closed in observance of Labor Day on Monday, Sept. 1.

Although offices will be shut down, emergency services will continue to operate like normal as will garbage collection services, the city said.

The transfer's station is expected to be open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The recycling center will be closed and all recycling trailers will be moved to the rodeo grounds at 3601 S. W.S. Young Dr.

Killeen's Family Recreation Center will be open from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the Aquatic Center will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and long Branch Pool will be open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., according to the city website.

The city said all city offices and facilities will reopen for normal business hours September 2.
