HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — City offices in Huntsville will be closed for Labor Day on Monday, September 1.
According to the city, Animal Services, Public Transit (Orbit and Access) and Municipal Courts will also be closed.
Residents should be aware of the following: • Garbage Collection: Residential collection will be delayed one day. Residents should leave carts at the curb until they are collected. • Parks & Recreation: All facilities will close except splash pads, which will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Get-A-Way Skate Park will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Kid’s Space from 8 a.m. to one hour after sunset. • Public Safety: Essential police and fire personnel will remain on duty throughout the holiday.
City offices will reopen at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 2.
