PHOENIX — The Flagstaff Fire Department is mourning the loss of one of its own following the passing of Captain-Paramedic Paul Sanders at his home last week.

As the department family grieves the loss of Sanders, they are rallying behind the family members he left behind with a community-led fundraiser . Sanders leaves behind a wife and two sons.
Sanders was described as a respected leader and mentor in the community and served 13 years with the department.
“His impact on our department and on those who had the privilege of working alongside him cannot be measured,” the department wrote.
