LEAVENWORTH, Wash. — An area outside Leavenworth that became the focus of the search for Travis Decker reopened Wednesday morning, according to the U.S. Forest Service.

The closure order for a quarter-mile area surrounding the Rock Island Campground expired at 6 a.m. and the campground is open to the public, according to the Forest Service.

The FBI confirmed its search of the area was over, but did not confirm if the campground was open.

The closure began Sunday and also impacted many roads and trails.

Decker is accused of kidnapping and killing his three daughters — Paityn, Evelyn and Olivia — after a visitation in May.

The Decker girls were last seen May 30 leaving Wenatchee with their father, who had a scheduled visitation.

Police found Decker’s truck at the campground June 2
