STONE COUNTY, Mo. — A Springfield man has been charged following a fatal crash in Stone County on August 2, 2024.

According to online court dockets, Daniel Drewry, born 1947, has been charged with second-degree involuntary manslaughter.

The probable cause statement says that the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) responded to a crash between Drewry, driving a 2020 Ford F150 and an individual riding a Dynacraft Blade bicycle.

MSHP says in the statement that the crash occurred as the two were traveling northbound on Route K in Stone County. Drewry approached in his vehicle and struck the rear of the bicycle, ejecting the rider.

The bicyclist was reported to have died from his injuries at the hospital, the statement says.
