Rancho Cordova Police unveiled new crime-fighting tools and a “unique collaboration” with the U.S. Postal Service to tackle mail thefts. The department added Flock Safety license plate recognition cameras and a Real Time Information Center, or RTIC, which officers say has already helped. Police said two people were taken into custody over the weekend for stolen mail, and “7 or 8” arrests have been made in recent months. Officials say the new tools are showing strong results against mail theft and other crimes.
