A Schenectady County woman is suing Roblox, claiming the online gaming platform lacked safeguards that resulted in their 12-year-old daughter being sexually exploited by a child predator.

The lawsuit, filed this week in U.S. District Court of Northern California, claims the design of the gaming platform, which allows users to interact while playing online games through created characters, “makes children easy prey for pedophiles,” and alleges the company ignored the issues in order to grow the platform.
