REDMOND, Wash. — The two Microsoft employees who were part of a group who broke into the president's Redmond office Tuesday were fired, the company confirmed Wednesday.

The employees were fired following "serious breaches of company policies and our code of conduct," a statement reads.

One of the employees was found to have violated the Business Conduct Policy, participated in breaking into Vice Chair and President Brad Smith's office on Tuesday, and has been arrested on two occasions, according to the company. The other was involved in Tuesday's break-in and arrested that day.
