AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Water waste has been a major concern this summer and viewers have continued sending in tips of possible water waste across the city.

From broken sprinklers to irrigation systems flooding streets, Water Wasters Wednesday has spotlighted where conservation can be improved.

On this final day of the segment, viewers spotted sprinklers running overnight near the downtown Amarillo Civic Center Complex.

Some sprinklers appear to be broken, causing water to stream onto the pavement instead of the grass.

One viewer photo shows two sprinklers shooting water nearly 25 feet up in the air.

City of Amarillo Public Information Officer David Henry said the city appreciates these concerns because it keeps officials aware of issues.
