The number of hours and days that people will have to pay to park in some of San Diego’s most popular neighborhoods have increased.
The city of San Diego says it’s part of an effort to help raise more revenue to cover its budget shortfall by increasing metered parking hours, and in some areas, charging on Sundays.
The changes are coming to the Mid-City area of San Diego. For an approximately 4.5-mile stretch of El Cajon Boulevard from University Heights all the way to the east of City Heights, metered parking will be in force from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with some holidays excepted.
