City Councilor Ed Flynn today used a council parliamentary rule to keep the council from approving a resolution in support of Mayor Wu's vow to fight the regime's threats to cancel federal aid to the city unless Wu throws herself prostrate before Washington and gets Boston Police to do ICE's dirty work for it.

City Councilors Liz Breadon, Julia Mejia - themselves both immigrants - and Benjamin Weber submitted a resolution backing Wu's Aug. 19 letter to regime Attorney General Pam Bondi, in which Wu said Boston won't back down and suggested that maybe Washington re-learn how to obey the Constitution.

Breadon said the council needs to send a message it has the mayor's back in this fight in this "unprecedented situation in the United States at the moment."
