Lompoc Chalks will return to for a sixth year, this time located at the Veterans Memorial Building during the weekend of Oct. 17-19.

The family-friendly event features two days of colorful chalk art, live entertainment, youth activities, food trucks, local vendors and a kid's corner.

Festivities begin 5-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, at the “Meet the Artists” kick-off, featuring live music, wine tasting, and a children’s chalking class. Admission is free, and food and beverages will be available for purchase.

The chalk festival runs Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 18 and 19, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Live entertainment is planned throughout the event with many local musicians, dance groups and performers taking the stage.
