MONROE, La. (KNOE) - Rain showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast starting Thursday and continuing into Sunday. The heaviest rain is likely on Thursday and Friday, as a warm front lingers across the ArkLaMiss.

The Weather Prediction Center has put out a risk for excessive rain for Thursday and Friday. Excessive rain brings the risk for flash flooding, which would make travel very difficult across the region.

The Global Forecast System model is showing the potential for 2 to 4 inches of rain across the ArkLaMiss.
