CORBIN, Ky. (WYMT) - The annual SOAR Summit is back in Corbin to innovate and inspire those in eastern Kentucky.

SOAR stands for Shaping Our Appalachian Region and the summit is hosted by SOAR yearly.

This year is packed with conversations about the future of the Appalachian region.

The annual event brings leaders, innovators and community members together to spark economic development, job growth and expand opportunities.

“I just really appreciate the things that that SOAR is doing to bring us all together in our region. We truly believe that in order to tackle a lot of our problems, we’ve got to come together and have a regional approach,” said University of the Cumberlands President-Elect Quentin Young.
