CORBIN, Ky. (WYMT) - Students and faculty at the University of the Cumberlands were part of the action at the 2025 Shaping Our Appalachian Region (SOAR) Summit in Corbin.

They hosted an AI Cafe as they served up coffee and educated folks on the helpful ways to use artificial intelligence.

University of the Cumberlands president-elect Quentin Young said their students are looking to make an impact.

“We believe that in order to be successful in our region, we all have to play our part. We need an educated workforce, we need a healthy workforce, we need infrastructure,” Young said. “We need all those investments coming together. And we see at the University of the Cumberlands that we can play our part by showing students what is possible.”
