Case against man accused of killing three women in Lawtey last year appears headed to trial

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - Johnnie Brown, 47, was in court Wednesday, and records show his attorney now claims Brown acted in self-defense when he shot Quaunique Robinson, 49, and her two daughters, Danesha Sims, 25, and Wynshay Roddey, 27.

They also object to the testimony of a child, an 11-year-old girl, who was wounded in the incident.

A trial status conference is scheduled for early next month.
