HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) -- A joint city-county budget hearing was held to start discussion for 2026 department funding in Vanderburgh County on August 27.

City Councilwoman Missy Mosby says next year's budget will look similar to the 2025 budget.

"Our department heads are doing a really good job of staying true to the 25 budget, so when we're looking at the 26, there's not a lot of increases due to the fact that we have to really control our budgets and spending due to the state bill," Mosby said.

The meeting was closed to the public, but a public meeting will be held at a later date.
