WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — A Warner Robins couple’s late-night stop at Denny’s ended in far more than they bargained for what was meant to be a simple dinner turned into more than $400 in unauthorized charges.
Pamela Sampolski and her husband placed a debit card to pay for their meal, but after it repeatedly declined, staff asked them to try another card. The second card went through. Yet later at home, they discovered six charges on the debit card and two more on the credit card.
“We handed her a card, and then she said, ‘Oh, it looks like there’s a problem on our end, not yours.’ So, she had us run it again. It came up the same thing,” Sampolski said.
Returning in search of answers yielded only frustration.
