MADISON (WKOW) -- New UW–Madison students gathered at Camp Randall Stadium Wednesday evening to learn game day traditions and take the annual "W" photo on the field.

The event featured lessons on the wave, student section chants and dances, and other school spirit staples.

Members of the Wisconsin Alumni Student Board, dressed in their signature striped shirts, led the activities and introduced the first-year students, dubbed 'Baby Badgers,' to Bucky Badger traditions.

The night wrapped up with students showing plenty of enthusiasm ahead of Thursday's first football game of the season.
