UPDATE AS OF AUGUST 26, 2025, at 3:30 P.M. — BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. — Firefighters have been battling seven lightning-caused fires across Butte County, with six of the fires already contained by 3 p.m.

CAL FIRE Butte Unit Fire Captain Dan Collins says that among the contained fires are those near Pinkston Canyon Road in Concow, Tres Vias Road, and the 2000 block of Grand Avenue. A larger fire on Wilbur Road at Tres Vias, covering 10.9 acres, has also been contained, with one engine remaining on site for mop-up operations.

Collins added that another fire in the 3000 block of Grand Avenue has been contained. However, access to a fire located between Feather Falls and Berry Creek, possibly within the Plumas National Forest, is still being made. This fire is believed to be a single tree or
