Fort Smith faces up to $585 million in water projects costs, official says

FORT SMITH -- An upgrade to the Lake Fort Smith Water Treatment Plant and the completion of a 48-inch water line from the reservoir to the city will cost an estimated $328 million to $585 million when all is said and done, according Fort Smith Water Utilities Director Lance McAvoy.
