RAPID CITY, SD (KELO) — A second person is dead after being shot inside their residence in rapid city in the last two days.

According to the Rapid City Police Department at around 7:15 Wednesday night gunshots were heard inside an apartment in the 200 block of east Watertown street. When officers arrived they found a man with gunshot wounds, officers attempted emergency first aid but he was ultimately declared dead on scene. Officers add that this incident doesn't appear to be random and they do not believe this is connected to the homicide investigation from Tuesday night.
