INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana Pacers fan favorite T.J. McConnell traded basketball for a baseball Wednesday.

Indianapolis Indians fans gave McConnell a rousing welcome before the game against Buffalo and formed a long line for autographs.

"I'm super excited to be here," fan Stephanie Garza said. "I became a Pacers fan not too long ago, but a couple of years ago because of this guy, and when I was going to get my very first jersey I knew immediately it was going to be McConnell because I absolutely love his hustle and I was super excited to get to tell him that today."

For McConnell, the feeling was mutual.
