SHASTA COUNTY, Calif. - The Shasta County Sheriff's Office arrested a man with active warrants for his arrest following a vehicle pursuit in Shasta County.

On Wednesday morning, 39-year-old Derrick Horn was spotted by Shasta County Sheriff's deputies and the Shasta Interagency Narcotics Task Force (SINTIF) while driving near Dersch Road and Clear View Drive.

Authorities say that Horn had outstanding warrants for various offenses, including evading a peace officer and possession of ammunition.

Horn had been released from prison in May 2025 under post-release community supervision for possession of a firearm and narcotics for sale.

Deputies attempted to stop Horn, but he took off and led authorities on a high-speed pursuit, driving into oncoming traffic.
