A week of shifting temperatures and unsettled weather has some residents wondering whether fall is arriving early this year.
After a warm Labor Day, with highs near 79 degrees and lows in the upper 60s on Sept. 1, the region will see a mix of late-summer heat and early hints of autumn in the days ahead.
On Sept. 2, temperatures are expected to climb into the lower 80s, before dipping back into the lower 60s at night. The warmth will build through Sept. 4, with highs in the upper 80s and lows in the upper 60s.
The stretch from Sept. 4 to 9 appears to be the warmest for the month, according to AccuWeather's forecast. Sept. 5 in particular looks like a summer feel with a high in the mid-80s. The end of the month may not reach 70 degrees for a full start to a fall feel.
