Major UK bank set to cut opening hours across these 40 locations - full list

A major bank with over 2.5 million customers will be cutting its opening hours across 40 branches in the UK.

The Co-operative Bank confirmed that some of its walk-in bank branches will lose up to three hours of operating time. Furthermore, over a dozen of the sites will close for an additional day throughout the week, meaning customers will have fewer opportunities to do their banking face-to-face.

Despite these altered hours, the bank is yet to confirm any outright closures for any affected sites, despite a growing trend of high street bank closures this year. The bank claimed the changes, which are set to be finalised by January 2026, are due to changes in 'customer demand'.
