SEELEY — The “End of the Summer Bash,” a popular family event originally scheduled for this Saturday, August 30, at Sunbeam Lake, has been officially canceled. Event organizers announced the cancellation, citing recent storm activity that caused damage to the park.

The decision was made to prioritize the safety of the community. In a statement, the county expressed regret for the cancellation and noted that they are “actively exploring options to reschedule this event and will share updates as soon as possible.”

The free family event, sponsored by the IID's Summer Water Activities Grant, was set to feature water activities, free hot dogs, and a special appearance by IID's “Dippy Duck.”
