FAIRMONT — The City of Fairmont will spend $92,500 on a piece of property adjacent to the former Box Factory site that will be used in the construction of the West Fork River Trail trailhead at the site.

The trailhead will be part of a larger recreational area built on the site of the former Box Factory. Council authorized the West Fairmont Rail-Trail System project in 2022. Fairmont City Manager Travis Blosser said the city may implement an oft-requested feature into the new recreational space.
