CONSTANTINE, MI –– Last year’s Constantine football underwent a “baptism by fire.”
Young and inexperienced at some skill positions, head coach Shawn Griffith asked players to step into roles and grow.
The team still found a way to make a playoff push, nabbing a district championship in a developmental year.
“They were able to get a lot of key reps and we’re excited,” Griffith said.
This year, the Falcons are eying a return to glory and they plan to do it on the ground.
Three inexperienced running backs operated by committee for Constantine’s backfield last season.
This year, they look to lead the team from out of it.
Brody Godfrey, Cooper McGee and Bear Geibe plan to cause some trouble for Division 7 this season.
Of the three, Geibe is the only senior.
