WATERTOWN – The school district ended the 2024-25 fiscal year with an estimated $600 left unspent, Business Manager Marie Kashuba reported to the Board of Education on Monday.

Ms. Kashuba provided a brief overview of accounts, starting with salaries and benefits. That account ended the year slightly over budget by around 1%, she said, especially considering the district had been in contract negotiations with four unions during the year. Purchased services was also slightly over due to added legal costs associated with those contract negotiations. Utilities also ran over budget estimates, but the real concern had been the school transportation account.
