Since it first started in 1858, the event has been a staple in Brant County, celebrating and sharing rural and agricultural culture.

But you don’t have to be part of Brant’s farming community — 669 farms on 148,590 acres of farmland according to the 2021 census — to enjoy it.

From road closures to headliners, here’s what you need to know about the Paris Fair.

Some of this year’s highlights

Thursday is Toonie night for midway rides from 6 to 11 p.m. And the monster truck show — a favourite with kids — is at 7:15 p.m.

Friday at 7 p.m. it’s the Demolition Derby “Night of Destruction.” At the same time, Brant County Brews takes place, a tasting featuring beer, cider and spirits made in the area.
