LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)-- Rain showers and storms will work their way through Mid-Michigan today, with the chance for some clearing skies later in the evening.

Some locally heavy downpours are possible with today's storms, along with lightning, so be sure to check the radar before heading out and about today.

Drier weather will return for the holiday weekend, with sunny to mostly sunny skies expected from Friday through Tuesday.
