ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) -- They say "Third time's a charm," and that couldn't be more true after a rocket launch appeared above Pennsylvania on Wednesday after a third attempt to blast off this week.

Three sounding rockets were launched from NASA's Wallops Flight Facility Wednesday, Aug. 27. The launch was originally scheduled for Monday, then got moved to Tuesday. Finally, NASA was able to send the sounding rockets Wednesday night.

The mission, known as TOMEX+, can be viewed on NASA's YouTube channel.

Due to the proximity of the launch site to Pennsylvania, a large portion of the Commonwealth was able to see the rocket against the night sky.
