A Ukrainian MP has said her heart is “breaking” after Russia launched a deadly overnight attack on the capital of Kyiv.

At least 15 people were killed by the strikes carried out on Wednesday night, including four children.

The British Council and the EU delegation offices in Kyiv were also hit.

Ukrainian MP Kira Rudik told Sky News that the country is facing constant “armageddon”.

She said: “We are very very scared and devastated, but I want to stress this is just a regular response by Russia to all the attempts to bring peace.

“That is their response to the attempts of European leaders to put some sanctions on them.

“This is their response to the attempts from President Trump to impose sanctions or bring them to the table for negotiation.

“This is armageddon that we are under.
