There are $172.2 million worth of bond projects on the docket for Marble Falls Independent School District, which wants local businesses to have a fair shot in the bidding process.

The MFISD Board of Trustees adopted an official resolution encouraging Highland Lakes contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to bid on the sweeping number of projects to be funded by the bond package approved by voters in May .

“Our schools are the heart of this community, and this bond program is an investment in both our students and our hometown,” said board President Alex Payson in an Aug. 26 media release. “By encouraging local businesses to bid on these projects, we are creating a win-win for Marble Falls ISD and for the families and neighbors who live and work here.”
