Debby's Drive Thru closed last week after 12 years in business due to health department concerns over egg preparation methods.

Owner Debby Johnston decided to close Debby’s Drive-Thru after the town's board of health raised concerns about how she prepares the breakfast sandwiches.

Debby's Drive Thru, the only drive-thru in town, operates out of an old Fotomat.

The public health director expressed concern that Johnston was microwaving raw eggs and recommended alternatives such as precooked patties, powdered or pasteurized eggs.
