NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The Jennings County Sheriff’s Office arrested a known North Vernon sex offender after he trespassed onto school property and provided a false residence to the Sex Offender registry.

School Resource Officer Alex Campbell was recently made aware that a male subject, Brandon Strickland, 32, of North Vernon, who is listed as a Sexually Violent Predator, had entered onto a school property. This incident did occur while school was not in session, and no children were present. The male subject had already left the premises, but after an investigation, SRO Campbell completed a case and submitted it to the Jennings County Prosecutor’s Office for review. A warrant was subsequently issued.
