HENDERSON, Ky. (WFIE) - Kentucky Transportation crews say a maintenance project will be starting soon on the Southbound Twin Bridge.
Officials say this project deals with the steel used to build the bridge.
In September of 2023 , crews shut down one lane on the bridge for two months, which caused several traffic delays and forced crews to open a third lane on the northbound bridge.
Two years ago, the project was to test the welds and steel on the bridge. Officials say this latest project will be a continuation of that.
According to a press release, crews are currently working to develop a work schedule and traffic control plan, however, it’s all set to start on Monday, September 8.
