Two Swan River students are getting an early taste of health care careers this summer through the Discover Health Careers Manitoba program.
The initiative, formerly known as “Home for the Summer,” offers students hands-on placements in clinics, hospitals, and health-care sites across the region. Initially created for medical students, the program has since expanded to include nursing and allied health students in fields such as public health, community nursing, and pharmacy. The effort is jointly funded by Prairie Mountain Health (PMH) and Shared Health.
