ATHENS, Ga. — It looks increasingly evident that Georgia is bringing back a fan-favorite appearance at Sanford Stadium in 2025.
Photos were circulating on social media on Wednesday that showed the paint being put down on the playing surface of Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium, and UGA's classic block lettering was back in the end zones.
Georgia opens its 2025 season against Marshall University on Saturday at home in a 3:30 kickoff on ESPN.
If the photos that show the end zones turn out to be true when Georgia takes the field this weekend, it would be the first time that Sanford Stadium has donned the block lettering since the 2012 season.
