Several parishioners at the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen gathered to pray for the victims of a mass shooting in Minneapolis during its regular prayer service.

“Lives have been killed. Mothers are definitely crying. And people are wounded,” a priest said.

The FBI is investigating the shooting, which happened at a Catholic school, as a hate crime against Catholics.

“It’s absolutely stunning how terrible that news is,” said Mary Hoff, a parishioner who attended Wednesday’s service.
