There were exhales along the sidelines of a couple northern Michigan soccer teams this week, as Petoskey and Charlevoix each picked up their first wins.

Petoskey’s first win of the season came in Cadillac, while Charlevoix topped Kalkaska on the road.

Win No. 1 for the Northmen came in a 3-0 final over the Vikings, delivering the first Big North Conference victory along the way.
