An investigation is underway after a New Hampshire woman apparently drowned in Sebago Lake in Maine on Wednesday morning.
The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office tells NBC10 Boston affiliate News Center Maine that first responders were called to the lake around 11:30 a.m. after deputies were notified about a 41-year-old woman who was found unconscious in the water.

Officials arrived on scene and removed the woman from the lake. While life-saving measures were attempted, the woman was pronounced dead on scene, News Center Maine reports.
The incident occurred in front of some private property at the end of Sokokis Road, according to News Center Maine, and it is being investigated as a suspected drowning.
