BOSTON (WWLP) - Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell announced a $12.25 million settlement with CVS Pharmacy, Inc. for overcharging MassHealth, the state's Medicaid program, compared to prices offered to the general public.
The settlement resolves allegations that CVS charged MassHealth higher prices for prescription drugs than those offered to cash-paying customers through a discount program. CVS will pay $12.25 million to MassHealth and implement a yearly reconciliation process to ensure accurate pricing in the future.
