When you think of things that have been historically plentiful in Temecula, tract homes, commuters and wineries come to mind.
Add film festivals to that list.
While seemingly nonsensical (most communities have never even had one film festival), Temecula has had two.
The third Temecula Valley Film Festival, led by Jeremy Habig, is planned for Oct. 17-19 at Temeku Cinemas.
Jo Moulton’s Temecula Valley International Film & Music Festival began in 1995 and continued until 2011. It was revived for a couple of years after that, but now Moulton is in Los Angeles.
Habig said he talked to Moulton after he heard about her event, but that his is not affiliated with hers.
He came to Temecula in 2013 and met plenty of locals making independent films.
“The problem was they didn’t know each other,
